About me
My Name is Matt Heighway
I am a CPA who has been working with business owners in multiple capacities for well over two decades. After commencing my career as an Accountant and Business Adviser, my own national start-up won numerous business awards and was featured in BRW fast 100. Since the business sold, I have been working with small-medium business owners helping them with business growth strategies and holistic business coaching.

I am also owner of two of my own businesses. Best Practice SMSF provides Practical SMSF Guides, checklists and Templates to SMSF Trustees to make their journey to retirement simpler. Lifetime SMSF provides specialist SMSF Accounting and Taxation services across Australia. You can hear me talking about all things small business as co-host of The Australian Small Business Show Podcast.

While working with businesses, I have developed the Red Parrot Small Business Success Framework and the Business Success Audit that can quickly identify areas of your business that need attention and create strategies that you can easily implement. My role as your accountability coach is what our clients value the most, as having someone with such a broad range of skills and experience looking over your shoulder can help your business significantly.

So why the name Red Parrot? Well, residing on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW and with an office backing onto a National Park, a King Parrot visits the office each day, so when the business was rebranded away from Matt Heighway Business Advisory, the name made perfect sense.
